A major milestone in our journey: Constel (then Constel Education) has closed a €1 million funding round to accelerate the democratization of mentoring in higher education and beyond.

The round brought together leading partners: Bpifrance, the Île-de-France Region and the education research company Humans Matter, alongside several business angels.

Why this round

Our founding conviction is simple: mentoring has a real positive impact, yet it remained insufficiently democratized in higher education — even though institutions are well aware of the need to improve the student experience.

To meet that need, we built a turnkey platform and methodology that lets institutions launch and run peer mentoring programs. At the time of the round, the platform brought together 8,000 users across institutions such as Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas and IÉSEG School of Management.

What this funding enables

The funds raised serve four priorities:

  • Accelerate growth in the French market.
  • Kick-start international expansion.
  • Address the professional training sector.
  • Strengthen our technological edge, in particular the matching algorithm and a smoother dashboard.

We need to reinvent the student experience to meet the new challenges of education.

Beyond the capital, this round marked the start of a close collaboration with Humans Matter, to run higher-impact projects together in the world of learning.

An ambition taking shape

Over four years, the mentoring market has grown strongly, driven by increasingly pressing challenges around onboarding, upskilling and team cohesion. This round was a first step toward a broader ambition: making mentoring an accessible, structured lever, in higher education as well as the professional world.
